Mirjam : Interview 2

Five Questions - Mirjam

Meet Mirjam.

What is your greatest accomplishment?

Oooh, that’s a good question. For me, is to move to Brisbane. Definitely. Because it was a big step. So for me personally, it was the biggest step.

What is the most memorable pain you have ever felt?

I think that was the pain- losing somebody. Maybe losing my grandpa, but also losing the father of my boyfriend.

Have you ever felt lonely?

Also, at the moment sometimes. Because I just moved to Brisbane four weeks ago, so I don’t know that many people. So that’s sometimes lonely. [Laughs] Yeah, I looked at the internet and met some German girls and doing some sightseeing and driving around and trying to get to know the city. [Laughs]

How do you define being “in love”?

Good question! [Laughs] I think, um- being in love. I think if you, if you- just some examples: if you get a text at the very beginning and you start smiling, or if you think of him and start smiling and have a strange- a good feeling in your tummy and you, you’re just happy and, ah, think of that person the whole time and ah, I think that’s when you’re in love. [Laughs]

“I think, um- being in love. I think if you, if you- just some examples: if you get a text at the very beginning and you start smiling, or if you think of him and start smiling and have a strange- a good feeling in your tummy and you, you’re just happy and, ah, think of that person the whole time and ah, I think that’s when you’re in love.” [Laughs]

So yeah, just stupid stuff that makes you smile and feel happy and feel good.

What will you miss most when you’re gone?

Oof. What a question! That’s difficult! I guess, yeah, the people. The friends, family, stuff you love. And traveling, meeting new [people]. Yeah, I guess that’s the stuff I will miss.
